John C. McIntire
John is a retired Partner of Goldman, Sachs & Co., where he spent 12 years and was CEO of the Latin American region. He has 30 years of experience in capital markets and banking, primarily in Latin America, and is currently an advisor to and director of a New York-based fund focused on that region. John is a member of the Global Advisory Board of Endeavor, the leading non-profit focused on entrepreneurship in the emerging markets, the Board of the Cuba Study Group and the Council of the Americas. Cuban-born, John holds a B.A. in Economics from Princeton. He resides in the New York City area.
Jon Karlen
Jon is a General Partner at Flybridge Capital Partners, whose investment interests and experience include enterprise software, consumer-focused products and online services, and energy technology. Jon currently represents the firm on the boards of Digital Lumens, Open English, and Virtual Computer, Inc. He also previously sat on the boards of Eka Systems (acquired by Cooper Power Systems), GamerDNA (acquired by Crispy Gamer), and ZING Systems (acquired by Dell). Prior to joining Flybridge, Jon served as Director of Product Marketing at OATSystems, an RFID software company. He holds a B.A. in Philosophy from Harvard University and an MBA from Stanford University Graduate School of Business.
Juan F. Salaverria
Juan serves as Executive Director of Grupo Comercial de Comunicaciones (GCC), Central America's leading network of ad agencies and specialized marketing units. He has over 10 years of experience analyzing and investing in companies across a wide variety of sectors in Latin America. His most recent venture was leading the Series A investment in FoxyP2, Inc. (Open English), and starting the company's marketing and distribution platform for Spanish speaking Latin America. Juan currently serves on the board of the Department of Economic and Social Studies (DEES) of Fusades, El Salvador's leading think tank, and of two non-profit organizations: Funpres and Glasswing International. He holds a B.A. in Economics from The University of Chicago and has an MBA from The Wharton School of The University of Pennsylvania.
Thomas "Tigre" Wenrich
Tigre is a multicultural executive with experience in finance, marketing, and operations. After a successful 16-year career with The Boston Consulting Group in the U.S., Spain, and Mexico, he retired to Miami, Florida, where he subsequently participated in a roll-up in the retail money service business (remittances, check cashing, and payday advance). After selling his stores in early 2009, Tigre joined Open English in August. Born in the Dominican Republic, Tigre holds a B.A. from Stanford University.
Andres Moreno
Andres founded Open English in 2006. He began his career in his native Venezuela, co-founding Optimal English, a company that provided the Latin American executives of Fortune 500 companies, such as Procter and Gamble, Sun Microsystems, and Cargill, with one-on-one English-language training. He went on to develop innovative technologies and techniques that became the Open English platform. He pursued a degree in product engineering from the Universidad Simón Bolívar before setting his sights on entrepreneurship.
Nicolás Szekazy
Nicol�s is the co-founder and managing partner of Kaszek Ventures, a venture capital firm that focuses on the technology industry inLatin America. Before launching Kaszek Ventures, Nicolás was an advisor for Tiger Global Management and CFO at MercadoLibre (Nasdaq: MELI), which is LatinAmerica's largest online commerce and payments platform. Nicolás currently sitson the board of several internet companies, such as Netshoes, Netmovies, OQVestir,Axeso5, Restorando, PedidosYa, Eventioz Zupcat, and SaferTaxi. He is also aboard member for Endeavor Argentina, where he received the "Endeavor Emerging markets Mentor of the Year" award in 2011. Nicolás earned his Bachelor's degree in economics from the University of Buenos Aires, and a MBA from Stanford University.

Jeff Lieberman is a managing director at Insight Venture Partners, a prominent international equity and venture capital firm located in New York City. Over the last 14 years, he has worked closely with consumer internet and application software companies, some of which include the Daily Deal (acquired by Google),GetPaid (acquired by SunGard Systems), Hautelook (acquired by Nordstrom),Paisley (acquired by Thomson Reuters), and TicketMonster (acquired by Living Social). Jeff currently sits on the board or oversees investments in Shutterstock, Karmaloop,Threadless, Hotel Urbano, Cvent, Ecova, Dealfind, Trivago, Elo7 and HealthcareSource. He received dual degrees in systems engineering and finance from the University of Pennsylvania's Moore School of Engineering and Wharton School of Business, where he graduated with honors.
